Last weekend, there was an African American street festival called the Odunde Festival. It is an annual tradition. I just heard about it, and decided it would be fun to go. It was, though I only lasted about an hour in the blazing heat. It was a heat wave, baby. Anyhow, I took pictures while I walked about searching for good food and interesting people. I found both. It was a good time. Enjoy these pictures:

While in Houston, I was able to extract some photos from Christmas that Uncle Doug took from the time period on Christmas Eve when my camera died:

I visited Texas for a couple of weeks, and I just returned to Philadelphia. Texas appears to be functioning normally. It was a busy trip. I hung out with my parents, cooked plenty of sumptuous foods, visited family in San Antonio, payed a visit to my old workplace, watched Jose become a medicine doctor, had enjoyable meals with various folks, endured an evening with Doug, Lisa, and Stephanie, and battled traffic. Overall, it was a resounding success, except that I soiled a closet in Doug and Lisa’s house. However, I do not believe they know about that yet. Here are some picture depicting my activities during this excursion.
